Industrial Partners

In order to get the most out of the research done at Marshall, we have formed a number of industrial partnerships. Below are some of these partnerships:
  • Fresnel Optics - Diamond turning of masters for Fresnel zone plates.
  • Rohm and Hass Advanced Materials - Silicon Carbide grinding and polishing experiments.
  • Photronics - Diamond Turning of germanium lenses (not completed because of cancellation of requirement)
  • Speedring (TTA) - Training of Technicians in optical polishing and metrology.
  • Ball Brothers (under discussion) - Optical metrology support and stray light support.
  • Raytheon Optical Systems Inc. (ROSI) (TTA) - Rotary head polisher development for x-ray optics.
  • IIT Industries - Silicon carbide mirror development.
